Coogee Surf Club was founded in 1907 and is located at the south end of Coogee Beach. Our club offers breathtaking panoramic 180-degree views of this iconic location. On bright blessed days, or under the cover of clouds and rain, the Coogee Surf Life Saving Club serves as the perfect backdrop for any celebration or corporate event. Guests will be in awe of the tranquility this venue offers with the sound of crashing waves and even the opportunity to spot a dolphin or whale during the migration season as well as the affordable pricing. About the organisation

Coogee Surf Life Saving Club is a volunteer organisation and was founded in May 1907. Originally called The Foundation of the Coogee Surf Life Saving Brigade, the club was formed to assist with people getting into difficulty and even drowning at Coogee Beach. The first squad went into serious training to ensure qualified lifesavers would be available on the beach in the spring of 1907. To this day, our SLSC, patrolling members commit to serving the community and keeping the public safe. Our surf club is located at the south end of the beach and offers a real sense of community spirit. It is a great way to meet new people, support the community, keep fit and have fun. Our Ocean Room is available for hire, located on Level 1, directly overlooking the surf with the best views in all of Coogee. Great for any type of function and the only rival to the views will be the sound of the waves crashing beneath you.

Kitchen features

Large 6-burner domestic oven, 2 microwaves, a fridge​/​freezer and water urn. Hire fee does not include cleaning as it is the guests responsibility to ensure the kitchen is cleaned prior to event close. Cleaning equipment and supplies are provided. We recommend that caterers pop in to have a look at the space prior to the event date.,

Male and Female bathrooms feature 3 cubicles and two sinks, with all being spacious in size.

Tech features

Projector and Screen, Laptop and Audio connections, two microphones and lectern available, all inclusive in room hire cost.

Transport features

Restricted parking in immediate area, however other parking options are available in surrounding streets. Space available for loading​/​unloading.

Interior and furnishing features

12 round tables – Seating capacity maximum of 10 people per table; 6 larger round tables – seating capacity maximum of 12 per table; 15 trestle tables; 140 white Pipee chairs, 7 bar ​/​ cocktail tables and 24 bar stools; Polished floor dance​/​stage area; and 3 wall mounted televisions.

Outdoor features

East facing balcony with picturesque views that include the South end of Clovelly cliffs, Dolphin Point, Coogee Beach, Wedding Cake Island and Wylie's Baths.
