Tomorrow, on Remembrance Day, we pause to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of all Australians who have served in our Defence Force. At the eleventh hour, on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we honour those who gave their lives in service to our country — and those who continue to serve with dedication and strength.
Remembrance Day reminds us that the legacy of service extends beyond the battlefield. It lives on in the families, communities, and organisations that support our veterans every day.
Across Australia, RSL LifeCare, RSL Sub-Branches, and the network of Veteran and Family Hubs provide vital care, connection, and advocacy for veterans and their loved ones. These services create spaces of belonging, healing, and hope — helping individuals and families transition, rebuild, and thrive. Their work embodies the values of remembrance in action: respect, compassion, and commitment to those who have given so much.
As we observe the minute’s silence tomorrow, we remember not only those who served in wars and peacekeeping missions, but also those who continue to serve their communities and fellow veterans.
Lest we forget.
