Nestled in the heart of Clunes Village, Clunes Coronation Hall is a delightful heritage building, the sole public venue in Clunes Village NSW. It has served the community since 1911, built and run by locals as a not-for-profit venue that exists purely for the benefit of its community. Offering a richly historic heritage, the setting is just 12 minutes from Bangalow and 30 minutes from Byron Bay. The hall combines timber floors, high ceilings, and a steep-pitched roof with classic charm. With a large commercial kitchen, stage, accessible amenities, tables and chairs available, and flexible layout options, it’s perfect for weddings, workshops, yoga & Pilates, markets, performances, and family celebrations. The village itself has a population of some 800 people, nestled on top of the hinterland overseeing the eastern most coastal region of Australia. It is a sub-tropical paradise, highlighted by Byron Bay at its apex, with the towns of Ballina to the south and Brunswick Heads to the north. Hinterland accommodation is plentiful. Delightful beachside towns and rural communities complete the tapestry of this sub-tropical hinterland. More than a venue—it’s where memories are made and community gathers.

About the organisation

The Clunes Coronation Hall Inc is managed by an active committee and membership structure, registered as a charity in NSW, complying with all related requirements. It is presently undergoing an upgrade process after extensive community consultations, and the adoption of its own Strategic Plan.

The hall has a stage with roll down canvas scree of approximately 3x6 m in dimension. There is a dressing room, foyer and kitchen area separated by doors and windows.

Transport features

Clunes is on the main coastal route between the regional centre of Lismore and the coastal M1 Freeway some 20 minutes by car. A regular bus service is available, some 5-7 minutes walk away, opposite the local shop and cafe. From the freeway, easy access north to the International Coolagatta Airport (50 mins); and easy access south to Ballina City (15 mins) with airport connections to Sydney Brisbane and the rest of Australia.

Tables, trestles, chairs, all available, with backstage storage, and separate room for food preparation and consumption.

A small covered bbq area is available. The total land size is approximately 2000 m2.
