This year marks the fourth anniversary of the Country Women’s Association of NSW (CWA) Berry Branch listing their much-loved community hall on Vennu. Since partnering with Vennu, this venue has transformed into a thriving hub, hosting a variety of events that enrich the local community. From milestone family celebrations and arts and crafts workshops to yoga and Pilates classes, as well as professional services, the CWA Berry Branch Hall brings people together in dynamic ways.
A highlight during this period was the visit from The Hon Michelle Rowland MP, Minister for Communications, who came to acknowledge the success of this partnership and its positive impact. Minister Rowland’s visit underscored how digital platforms like Vennu empower local organisations, making it easier to manage bookings and maximise the use of space.
A Space for Everyone
Over the past four years, the CWA Berry Branch Hall has become a popular venue for diverse activities. Its versatility and accessibility have made it a welcoming home for multiple groups. Some key activities include:
Family Celebrations: This venue is the preferred choice for young mothers organizing milestone birthdays and for family members celebrating their grandmother’s 100th birthday!
Art, Craft, and Sewing Workshops: Local artists and craft enthusiasts host workshops to share skills in painting, knitting, embroidery, and more.
Yoga and Pilates Classes: A serene environment for wellness-focused gatherings, providing a peaceful retreat for strengthening both body and mind.
Professional Services and Business Meetings: The hall serves as a functional venue for small business owners and community groups that need space for meetings, workshops, and consultations.
The Power of Connection
The CWA Berry Branch listing on Vennu highlights the power of community-driven spaces. By making the hall available for hire, the CWA has enhanced community engagement, created new revenue streams, and ensured the venue’s long-term sustainability.
Minister Rowland’s support emphasises the importance of Vennu in unlocking the potential of underutilised spaces. Digital solutions provide grassroots organisations with the tools to adapt and thrive, ensuring that community spaces remain accessible and vibrant.
As we celebrate this anniversary, we extend our gratitude to the CWA Berry Branch, the groups that bring the hall to life, and Minister Rowland for recognising the value of Vennu. Here’s to many more years of making the CWA Berry Branch Hall a welcoming, creative, and inclusive space!
